Lemon Bars Recipe
Indulge in the tangy goodness of these delightful Lemon Bars! Perfect for a sunny afternoon or a sweet treat after dinner.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a 9x13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the butter and powdered sugar until creamy. Gradually add in the 2 cups of flour until well combined.
- Press the dough into the prepared baking dish and bake for 20 minutes or until lightly golden.
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, granulated sugar, 1/3 cup flour, baking powder, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
- Pour the lemon mixture over the baked crust and return to the oven for 25-30 minutes, or until set.
- Let the bars cool completely before dusting with powdered sugar and cutting into squares.
